I myself along with a number of faction members have noticed that faction chat is taking on more and more of a crude raunchiness. In other words its getting extremely sexually explicit. I don't like to have to make a lot of rules. We are all here to have fun, but this is creating a large issue. We have a number of younger members in our group as well as its become offensive to some of our adults as well. So here are some guidelines for faction chat:

1. This isn't a pornographic guild. Chatting in faction chat is fine, but the crude sexually explicit chat needs to be kept to PMs or in personal chat rooms. There are other guilds who cater to this sort of thing, so if its what you are looking for we wish you the best.

2. We all have frustrating moments where we want to list out a string of profanities. It's understandable. But if every sentence you type in faction chat has multiple *****'s in it or you have to change the spelling so you don't get stars.. Please keep it to private conversations.

I'm not one to censor everything anyone does.. and we have tried to be pretty lenient on these topics, but it's being taken too far lately. I'm not saying you have to keep things G rated all the time, but we should all be trying not to offend or make our fellow factionmates uncomfortable.

i totally agree! In the past ive gone by a rule that let things i generally would correct pass as long as no one voiced offense; however i realize this general rule is very ambiguious. Therefore, i will be changing my general rule. if i see something that we all know is unacceptable, you will be corrected and given a warning. i dont believe in 1,2,3strikes you're out. after that warning it will be assumed that you know the proper way and refuse to abide by it and i will be forced to discuss potential removal from faction with Nyx and the other officers, or, in special cases where the offense is too great to ignore; ie racism, clan bashing, homophobia ect...remove you immediately from faction. i dont intend to come off as a warden or dictator, i simply cannot have members of our family feeling as if then need to blacklist everyone just to feel comfortable in our faction, or leave completely. I love you guys but i will kick your asses Twisted Evil

Agree totally, its not cool to talk sexual explicit content. There can only be 2 cases:

1) The guilty party is not old enough to partake in adult forums, hence making use of ingame chat to talk dirty
2) the guilty party thought its cool to talk dirty.

My take is we don;t stop you from what you wanna do ingame, if you want to talk about all these mature contents, talk in private chatrooms or pms. As we have kids who are 8 yrs old playing the game, as moderators and officers, we need to make sure that we set a good examples for them. I also would not want to see officers taking part in this kind of chat. We should be putting it down and not joining in. Its been ongoing for a while and I think its about time to stop. We are gamers, not sex deprived pervs! and ITS NOT COOL at all, cos its pathetic when you have to talk about all these shit in faction!
